We got the word on our last night in Bali that we were headed for Singapore! However, this was to be a very short day of scavenging. We were arriving in Singapore at noon, and departing again for our next destination at 7:00 p.m.
Bill gave us a booklet containing over 30 potential scavenges for our brief stay here. There was much to be done in a short period of time!
Our first stop was Sentosa Island, a large recreation area. We were trying to dive with bull sharks (worth 125 points!!) but they were already fully booked for the day. So we had our picture taken in front of the great lion... the guardian of Singapore.
In each destination, Bill always has mandatory scavenges which involve local foods. We opted to head to the Imperial Herbal Restaurant and try the 8 Treasures Tea, quick fried eel, dim sum, egg white with scallops, and Chili Crab... a Singapore favorite.
The remainder of the afternoon was spent visiting temples, mosques, Chinatown, Little India, and Geylang... the red light district of Singapore!! The most famous hotel of which is Hotel 81. David got a kick out of this, and yes... he did check out the girls in the area!!
Stay tuned!!
